The Atlanta Falcons will be making their way to the Emerald City for a NFC showdown on Sunday. The Seahawks are 3-1 and atop the NFC West. They are coming off two dominating performances on offense and look to continue it this Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons come in at 4-1 and come off beating the Denver Broncos at home, handing the defending Super Bowl Champions their first loss of the season. The Falcon offense is on a roll and is average just under 500 yards per game. The Seahawks will have some key advantages though. For week 6 it will be the game to watch, here is a look at the match up:

  • Matt Ryan is one game away for posting 45 consecutive 200+ passing games. He will tie the record set by Dan Fouts at 45 if he can get 200 yards vs the Seahawks.

  • The Atlanta Falcons are averaging just under 500 yards a game at  460 yards per game. Julio Jones and Matt Ryan had monster games vs the Panthers the week before. Julio Jones had 300 yards receiving and Matt Ryan had 500 yards passing. That means in 2 weeks the Falcons have dismantled last years Super Bowl attendees. It gives you an idea of how good they've been. Their defense doesn't look to be a slouch like it has either over couple years. Dan Quinn (Atlanta head coach) former Seahawks defensive coordinator has a legit team for sure.

Sheil Kapadia on the Falcons: "The Atlanta Falcons, the Seahawks’ next opponent, had the best offense in the NFL through the first four weeks and turned in an impressive performance in their 23-16 victory over the Denver Broncos."

  • The Seahawks will have a week of rest and preparation under their belt which will help. Russell Wilson surely used his time to get better and heal up as well. Coming out of the bye  Pete Carroll's teams usually dominate and come out with a win after a bye week.

  • The Seattle secondary will have to cover well to win this game. Julio Jones is a monster and he will get his catches. The Seahawks will need to limit Matt Ryan as much as they can, giving him the short passes only. No big plays will keep the Hawks in this one.

  • Pressure on Matt Ryan is a must. Get him uncomfortable and make him force things like he has the last couple of years. The Seahawks have the guys to do it and the 12th man at the Clink will certainly help. A side note, this one is going to be crazy so you better find tickets while you can.

  • If the Seahawks can get their running game going it help keep the ball away the Falcons and keep the defense fresh. It will be easy for the Hawks to get warn out if their on the field all day. Christine Michael having a big day will mean go a long way to controlling the game.

  • Richard Sherman vs Julio Jones is the key matchup to watch. The best of the best going at it, it won't get any better.

  • Prediction: Seahawks 34 Falcons 31
